Well, Asa is really sick....

Glad to see you're getting better. :)

Community History

Huuuur it's been a while.

I guess I started roaming around communities at the age of 12, when I first heard of Game Maker. I came across a post in Gaming World that led me to RPG Maker, and then after messing around a bit I came across Kobra's Realm, which is basically my internet birthplace <3.
Soon KR started taking a turn for the worse and all of a sudden this site called Omengate Sanctum appeared and I joined that, leading to Township Games after a few months (or was it a year?). Then THAT died and I wandered into RPG RPG Revolution which is more or less my main RM place these days. All the while I was semi-active at GW, often making shitty posts which got me warned in total at least a dozen times (I was never banned, strangely, except for that GW Prank Day thing).

From GW I found out about this place thanks to all the hype/drama around it, so I joined and here I am.

I'm currently on a game-making hiatus and am thinking about leaving the "business" forever (or at least RPG Maker as it's not to my liking anymore - my love for RPGs is turning into a love for point-and-click adventure games). And no, I never released anything thanks to having about a billion different ideas and never being able to implement any of them.

I've just got into The Cure. They're nice. :)
(Note how I said too much)

Also, don't assume that you necessarily know the "Angst" level of bands you're not familiar with/have only heard one radio single of/don't actively listen to.
My brother listens to tons of the angsty rock bands listed so I hear those crappy songs blaring from his room all day. I don't "actively" listen to them, yeah, but it's kind of hard to ignore THOSE FUDGING LACUNA COIL AND MCR TRACKS AT FULL VOLUME :( :(

EDIT: A good 50-60% of what I listen to is mainstream or borderline-mainstream stuff, by the way. (At least here in the UK)

Favorites Songs from Bands/Artists

The Hand In Feeds is my favourite NIN song too. And yes, that's not saying much about NIN as a whole. ::)

Continuing:
Fujiya & Miyagi - Ankle Injuries: Chill-out stuff.
Gnarls Barkley - Who Cares?: ...you probably know this one.
Jaga Jazzist - Animal Chin: Awesome post-rock/jazz stuff, definitely worth a listen. Although I prefer "Lithuania", but I couldn't find a youtube vid.
Jamiroquai - Planet Home: It'd be impossible to pick out THE BEST Jamiroquai song because they're pretty much all bloody awesome; however, I tried. =)
Joy Division - Transmission: Hellz yeah, Joy Division
Klute - Phone Call: Melodic Drum & Bass.
Kyoto Jazz Massive - Stargazer: More jazz, and man this is amazing

Okay this is getting a bit tedious now so I'm going to stop linking from now on. You can search for videos yourself :<

Ladytron - Playgirl
Maximum the Hormone - Buikki Kaesu!!! (or something)
MEN WITHOUT HATS - SAFETY DANCE YES
Michael Gray - The Weekend
Moby - Porcelain
Mute Math - Chaos
Mylo - EVERY FRIGGIN SONG BY THIS GUY SERIOUSLY.
Reno Project - Same here. It's an amazing album, and the best part is how it's totally utterly FREE (yay Jamendo)
Royksopp - So Easy. I love my chill-out <3
Sam Sparro - Too Many Questions
Stereolab - Ping Pong is my favourite probably.
The Cure - In Between Days
The Little Ones - Ordinary Song
The Prodigy - Poison
The Strokes - Take It or Leave It
Tokyo Police Club - Nature of the Experiment
Yellow Magic Orchestra - Pretty much my favourite band. Same as Mylo and Reno Project.

If I were to criticize peoples' lists I'd say you guys have too much angsty rock music seriously gerroutofit

Favorites Songs from Bands/Artists

Yay lists! Couldn't you guys give descriptions or at least link to Youtube videos or something?

Ayabie - Shine: Visual-kei yay
Beck - Loser: How can you not love this one
Bloc Party - Hunting for Witches: Nothing much to say here.
Buckethead - Population Over-ride: Title-track for my favourite guitar album ever.
Calvin Harris - Vegas: When I goooo to Veegaaaaaas (tough choice between this and Love Souvenir, but this is more representative of the rest of his album while LS is just crazy-cool chill)
Cee-Lo - The Art of Noise: Soouul machine
Daft Punk - Face to Face: Really close to being my favourite non-YMO song.
Depeche Mode - Policy of Truth: Badass.
Disturbed - Stupify: I am hardly a fan of Disturbed but I have to admit this is amazing.
Earth, Wind & Fire - September: Hehehe. Guess where I first heard this song
Electric Six - Synthesizer: Lyrical favourite man it is AMAZING you must listen to this
Faith No More - Evidence: Video makes me laugh but whatever this is groovy.
Faker - This Heart Attack: Guilty pleasure.
Fatboy Slim - Santa Cruz: Simply amazing, really.

I haven't even gone through 1/4th of my whole music library so the rest can wait till later I suppose.

I went to Switzerland among other European countries for the summer holidays. I live in the UK.

(Mais j'etude le francais dans l'ecole)

What are you thinking about right now?

So I've been sketching random things a bit for the past hour, and I have to say I'm not as bad as I thought! You just have to be really into what you are doing, and use common sense when dealing like things like anatomy, and you'll do fine! :)

Safeway's extinct. Made way for Morrisons! (which is also extinct)

I am really wishing I could draw right now. Being the stubborn human being I am I just can't admit that there's no NATURAL TALENT evolved because hand-eye co-ordination is very important in art, and I don't have it!

Art is a learned skill, not a talent.

A minute minority of artists of any kind are born with a 'talent' for something.
I refuse to believe it :(

Well not really, but I remember when I had Art class when I was younger and I got C's and D's while everyone else got A's. I think there is a certain natural aspect to it because I had been doing Art as long as anyone else did.
